One of the key aspects of succeeding in almost any aspect of life is having a strong sense of moitivation. Of course, there are many other necessary components which lead to sucess, but without motivation very little can actually be accomplished. An individual could have all the talent in the world, but without motivation they can't expect much sucess. Take the 2004 United States men's olympic basketball team for instance. The team clearly was above the rest of the world talent-wise, but their motivation was lacking and they didn't win as a result. But for one to truly understand the atrocity that was the 2004 men's olympic basketball team one must first get a grasp of the word motivation. According to Organizational Behavior, 13th Ed., motivation is the processes that account for an individual's intensity, direction, and persistence of effort toward attaining a goal. The 2004 team clearly demonstrated through a lack of intensity and effort that they were not truly motivated to win the gold that fateful summer in Athens.
All members of our group have shown they are motivated to not only do the multimedia project, but do it well. I think it is evident that everyone in Go Green or Go Home has not just the overall intelligence to create a successful project, but also the motivation. I believe there are three main factors that contribute to this motivation. First, no one wants to let down the other members of GGoGH, and they put forth a strong effort as a result. Additionally, all members firmly want to maintain a strong GPA and will show intensity and direction to get a solid grade on this project. Lastly, I believe that no one in the group wants to put their name on a project they're not proud of and will do what it takes to make a quality multimedia presentation.
